I remember playing tennis with Lance for fun and on the Glenbard Soph. team. He started out with not that much experience (or skill) on the team, but then, through lots of hard work and dedication, got much better than me (that was not a high bar). But I noted his being a "professional tennis" player in his obituary, and that made me feel very good. I remember being a bit envious of him when he started to play better than me. But I should just have worked harder and longer, as he did.
Very sad to hear of his passing. I remember him as a really nice guy.
