Glenn Giesel was the first boy to ever kiss me. He was a good first boyfriend..

I knew Glenn from track. He was a good pole vaulter and runner. He and his brother would sometimes drive me home after practice and that was often a frightening experience!

Glenn was a great guy...he used to make me laugh until I couldn't stand it.

I enjoyed choir with him and German class - where he would lead the charge making-up guttural-sounding Germanic-oriented yet non-existent German word sounds that drove our German teach nuts.  He was quite the track athlete and just a really good, stand-up guy.  Plenty of school spirit - often wore the pit helmet while leading some aspect of our teenage emotions.

Great choir voice; usually remembered all the little riffs I forgot.

Sure was sorry to hear of his passing - I know he left a wife and some daughters in Atlanta.

Rest In Peace, my friend.  I surely miss you.

Just saw this announcement now.  Glenn lived about 2 blocks from our house and we interacted quite a bit: hockey, touch football, soccer, walking to/from Glenbard, family gatherings, etc.  Tons of fun!!!!!  Quite a wild guy in many ways.  What an incredible athlete.  Could kick or punt the football about twice as far as the rest of us.  Loved watching him in the pole vault track events.  He got pretty high.  He used to yell as he was running down the track before he set his pole.  I can hear that scream now.

So sad to hear he is gone.
