URBANA – Julie Samborski Little lost her fight with breast cancer early on Monday, Oct. 19, 2015.

Julie was born on Feb. 27, 1955, in Duluth, Minn., to Mike And Patricia Samborski. Julie is the proud big sister of three brothers: Scott, Stephen and Craig Samborski.

The Samborski family moved several times, including New York, California and Glen Ellyn, before settling in Champaign. Julie started high school at Glenbard West in Glen Ellyn and continued her high school education at Champaign Central High School, where she met several lifelong friends. These associations also led her to the love of her life, John Benson Little, whom she married and loved for over 40 years.

Together they raised and adored their three children: Carson, Tim and Rainey Little, who loved her more than words can express.

Julie held a college degree in nursing and worked at several hospitals as a Registered Nurse in Champaign and Aspen, Colo. For the past 10 years, Julie worked for the Urbana School District.

Julie was known for her beautiful kind soul and creative spirit. Julie loved to journal and spend her time outdoors. She lived an active lifestyle by hiking with the dogs daily, swimming and going on bike rides. She loved to camp and canoe with the family.

A Celebration of Julie's Life will be held in the chapel at Woodlawn Cemetery in Urbana between 9 and 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14. The burial of Julie Little will follow at 11 a.m.
