That is so heartbreaking! I got to know Steve in high school and we kept in touch after graduation. Unfortunately we lost contact with one another about 10 yrs. ago. He was a dear friend and will be greatly missed.
It was indeed sad to see the announcement about Steve.
We met at Forest Glen elementary school and shared a love of comic books. He even bought some classic Marvel ones from me. Amazing how cool and popular the movies base on those comics have become: Spider Man, Fantastic Four, Hulk, etc. We also had other mutual friends and an interest in tennis. He was a tough competitor and had a beautiful style of play.
Unfortunately, we lost touch after graduating from Glenbard.

Steve was a nice kid ... all through our school years. It sounds like he became a fine man and led an admirable life and passed away far too soon.Patrick Peterson
