Sadly, she passed away July 2, 2023 after struggling with chronic myeloid leukemia for 9 years. We met in 5th grade at Glen Crest Jr High and both went to West as freshman when our families moved into town. She was one of my oldest and best friends and I will miss her terribly. Sue Poth McArdle

Thank you for sharing this sad news about Kim. You might remember I was also in that 5th grade class at Glen Crest. She was such a sweet girl...and that laugh? I still remember it after all these years! And boy did she turn red. I think Kim blushed harder than you or I did. Such fond memories. Thank you again.

I'm so saddened to hear this news about Kim. I regret losing track of both you and Kim over the years, but never forgot our fun, and sometimes wild and crazy times during our last couple years at Glenbard. Along with Jenny (Roberts) Mead and Kathy (Kate) Nelligan, you and Kim were my closest friends. I never forgot the 5 of us cramming into my tiny VW and driving down the dirt road full of potholes behind Roosevelt Rd (dubbing it the "ho chi minh" trail) to get to McDonalds. A silly slice of life memory to relate to the ending of the war, but we were so young to comprehend the bigger picture. Kim was so full of life and always kept me laughing. I'm sad to know she had a battle in the end.
