Have not seen or been in contact with Van since we graduated from Glenbard. He was always a happy person when he greeted you. Rest in Peace Van, prayers to your family. - Jeff Janisch
So sorry to be reading this. Van was a really nice person and he will be missed. And those times I went exploring the desert a stones throw from where I was at in Anza Borrego We could have had lunch. I had no idea he lived there.
Van was my Driver's Ed partner at Glenbard. He teased me because he was an "experienced driver" and had driven about 100 miles already compared to my zero when we started class. But he helped me relax and made our class fun! I was so grateful to him for that. I always get a smile on my face when I think of adventures with Van in Driver's Ed..RIP Van.
Van was my neighbor and best bud during my years in Glen Ellyn. He stood up at my wedding and had the most infectious laugh of anyone I've ever known. I'm happy to have had him as a friend.
